The city of San Antonio and Bexar County in collaboration with business, economic development and governmental organizations in Canada, the United States, and Mexico will host a multi-session, 2-day conference marking the 20th anniversary of the initialization of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA).
Following its initialization in 1992 and ratification in 1994, NAFTA marked the beginning of continuous trade streams and investment flows between the three countries. These lines of commerce have since grown threefold and become an engine for the entire region’s economy. As NAFTA reaches 20 years in existence, a discussion regarding its evolution and outlook is timely.
