Twelve-year-olds aren't supposed to be able to play Rachmaninoff's ultra-challenging Second Piano Concerto, but Nachito Herrera astounded everyone in his native Cuba when he did exactly that. A few years later he dove into hot-lava Latin jazz and Cuban nightclub music, then made a name for himself in Minnesota as the pianist/arranger for the big band, Cubanismo.
