Singapore’s favourite series of free quality outdoor concerts – NAC-ExxonMobil Concert in the Park is set to bring an afternoon full of wholesome family fun for all at West Coast Park!
Arts@Play! will feature performances that will appeal to the young and old alike.
The internationally-acclaimed and popular French artists Groupe Démons et Merveilles will treat audiences to Les Poules (‘The Chickens’), a giant puppetry act from France. Les Poules, which features a trio of wide-eyed and extremely curious giant hen puppets, will interact with both intentional and unintentional members of the audience, from 4.30pm!
Gather the family for local theatre company, Paper Monkey Theatre Ltd’s Indian folk-tale inspired Hug The Tree – a creative and engaging puppet show featuring life-sized puppets and original music compositions which impart lessons on bravery and environmental protection.
Be mesmerized by the graceful movements of the Fairfield Methodist School (Primary) Chinese Dance team as they perform Joyous Festival – a dance couched in a relaxing and joyful rhythm which mirrors the liveliness of childhood.
Then, immerse yourself in the carnival-like atmosphere brought about by brass quintet, B5 Brass, and Sambateria’s performances. B5 Brass will meld their signature warm and beautiful sound with their creativity, energy and musical versatility, while local percussion group, Sambateria will get everybody moving with the glorious percussive beats from their act, A Taste of Brazil.
There will be plenty to keep everyone entertained at Arts@Play!
