Singapore’s favourite series of free outdoor concerts – NAC-ExxonMobil Concert in the Park is back, bringing a fresh wave of performances to the heartland, amidst the tranquil and idyllic surroundings of Pasir Ris Park!
The concert will feature repertoires which comprise of refreshing blends of musical traditions from around the world. Look out for contemporary-fusion group Gamma:rays, who will absolutely transform your perspective of the sounds of ancient gamelan. Sway along to the pulsating and hypnotic rhythms as Gamma:rays brings their unique blend of gamelan infused with jazz, pop, and rock elements.
Get off a relaxing start as the winners of Heritage & Harmony Music & Dance Competition 2007 - Bedok View Secondary School Angklung Ensemble, bring you the rich, mellow tones of the Angklung in the opening act.
Then, go on an adventurous audio journey with Orkestar Trio, whose performances have led them all over the world, from China to Italy, to Turkey and more. Be fascinated by the intricacies within their composition, which features various musical styles from the nusantara (Malay Archipelago), reflecting the diversity of identities and interests among them.
Don’t miss cousins Krsna, Govin, Denise & Dexter as they bring you an eclectic concoction bearing elements originating from Indian, Chinese and Western beginnings.
At Arts InFusion, there’s something for everyone with the exciting free fringe activities - grab a balloon sculpture, or get your face and hand painted. Also participate in Eco-Rosette Making, Eco-Badge Making and the Eco-Shrink Art Workshop. . Capture the liveliest and best moments of children at Arts InFusion and stand to win attractive prizes in the online photography competition.
