Celebrating the 150th year of Indian Independence struggle, Na - Hanyate (Indestructible Quest For Freedom). Dir. Torit Mitra. Translated from original Bengali play Hanyaman and inspired from Albert Camus' Just Assasin, the play questions whether young men and women, who had immense love for country, were really focused? If yes, why did they fail because of simple mistakes? Where was the epicenter of these mistakes? Why could not they organize a mass based revolution?. These questions remain unanswered for they were not able to decide the right path of this rebellion, whether it should be violence or non-violence. The play, based on the age of despair, anxiety and nihilism, also projects the hope to provide a choice to the next generation to make the right decisions beyond any discrimination, religion, rituals or dogmas. An Old World Culture presentation.
