The Mystic Chorale presents
BRIGHT MORNING STARS – A Celebration of Americana. The Mystic Chorale, one of Greater Boston’s favorite community choruses, presents “Bright Morning Stars”, led by founder and gifted song leader, Nick Page. Experience the harmony of 200+ singers accompanied by our first ever bluegrass band as we celebrate American roots music from Sacred Harp anthems to contemporary folksongs, all expressing a range of emotions from deep sorrow to exultant joy. This concert skillfully mixes songs that are astonishingly different from each other, such as a railroad Gospel Song, a 1778 William Billings shape note anthem, some gorgeous Appalachian Hymns including Bright Morning Stars, a Contemporary Spiritual song by Susan Werner, a joyous ukulele song by Nick Page, and the well-known Will the Circle Be Unbroken?.
