MyBandStock to Feature Original Artists in April 17th Spring Bash

ANN ARBOR, MI – March 26, 2009 – MyBandStock, Ann Arbor’s budding online music community, is proud to present a one-night nod to The Music Revolution™ on Friday, April 17, 2009 at the Cavern Club in downtown Ann Arbor. The event will feature two floors of brimming hip hop and indie independent talent, including local favorites Millions of Brazilians and Charlene Kaye. Doors open at 8:30 pm. 18+ are welcome.

MyBandStock, Ann Arbor-based company specializing in connecting bands and fans in The Music Revolution™, will host the April event at the Cavern Club in celebration of its burgeoning online community, active since January 2009. Since its debut, www.mybandstock.com, the company interface, has witnessed strong support, posting 250 unique users and 500 invested shares to date. The website allows fans to directly finance their favorite artists in the form of shares purchased in a band’s recording project. In return, artists can reward their investors with a variety of perks, such as digital tracks or band merchandise. MyBandStock is a fresh new initiative offering a personal twist to the traditional music industry—one that encourages an intimate connection between artists and fans.

The April Spring Bash will celebrate a diverse music lineup, featuring several MyBandStock original artists. The party will claim both the Cavern and Millennium Club, featuring separate respective hip hop and indie stages. DJ Cataclysmic will kick off the Cavern Club party, followed by three dance crew performances, Ann Arbor hip hop’s Domestic Robot, Ant The Champ, Celsius Electronics, Tree City, and Detroit’s Tasherre D'Enajetic. Up in the Millennium Club, Ann Arbor’s Charlene Kaye, Farewell Republic, The Promenade, and Groove Spoon will rock the indie stage into the night, along with Detroiters Millions of Brazilians and The Summer Highlight.
