neworldtheatre welcomes parents of slain activist Rachel Corrie to Vancouver

On February 3rd the parents of slain American activist Rachel Corrie will visit Vancouver from their home in Olympia, Washington. They are coming to Vancouver to support neworldtheatre and Teesri Duniya theatre’s national co-production of the internationally renowned play My Name is Rachel Corrie, at the Havana Theatre, as part of the 2008 PuSh International Performing Arts Festival. They will be attending the performance on February 2nd. As part of their time in Vancouver, they will participate in a public conversation about the play, public reaction to it, and their work on the Palestine/Israel conflict in the wake of their daughter’s widely publicized death.
