My Name Is Rachel Corrie
Taken from the writings of Rachel Corrie
Edited by Alan Rickman and Katherine Viner
Directed by Mumbi Tindyebwa Out
October 17 - 20, 2012
In 2003 Rachel Corrie, a 23 year-old American student, was crushed to death by an Israeli Army bulldozer as she was trying to stop the demolition of a Palestinian home in Gaza. My Name is Rachel Corrie is a controversial, passionate and stunning account of one woman’s participation in events that most of us only experience through watching the news. Since its sold-out opening in 2005, My Name is Rachel Corrie has acted as a catalyst for discussion and an eye-opener to the impact of western foreign policies on people living thousands of miles away.
