This may shed a little light on the illustrious history of the Interaction Design Rendezvous / Gathering / Reunion / Union.
The event was launched early 2007 as an opportunity for graduates of the Interaction Design course (formerly Computer Related Design, now Design Interactions) at the RCA to congregate over drinks in a casual atmosphere and catch up. Friends and colleagues were invited and word soon spread. The meeting flourished, attracting interactioney types from across London and even further afield. They saw that it was good.
So, basically this is an opportunity to spend a balmy summer evening with lots of nice, interesting people who are connected (to varying degrees) with interaction design. It's not formal or restricted, everyone is welcome and we hope it will be as successful and enjoyable as last time.
