Musicfest Vancouver presents Liszt Anniversary Piano Recital: Mariangela Vacatello August 10, 2011

A finalist and winner of the Internet Audience Award in the 13th Van Cliburn International Piano Competition, Mariangela Vacatello is in high demand for engagements in prestigious venues worldwide, including the Berlin Konzerthaus, Wigmore Hall in London, Mozarteum Auditorium in Salzburg, Weill Hall at Carnegie Hall in New York, and Walt Disney Hall in Los Angeles. A Liszt specialist, Ms. Vacatello has chosen a spectacular selection of his works for her Canadian debut, including the composer’s monumental Sonata in B minor, in honour of the 200th anniversary of the composer’s birthday.
