Musicfest Vancouver presents Lafayette String Quartet August 7, 2011

MusicFest Vancouver is proud once again to feature the brilliant Lafayette String Quartet in a program of Beethoven and Haydn. Celebrating their 25th anniversary – and with all of their original members – this multiple award-winning ensemble is in great demand and has collaborated with wonderful artists from all over North America and Europe. The four women have been artists in residence at the University of Victoria since 1991. Featuring one of Beethoven's earliest quartets as well as the late Quartet in B Flat Major, Op. 130 (including the Grand Fugue), this concert promises to be one of the classical highlights of the 2011 festival. Part of MusicFest Vancouver's Industrial Alliance Pacific MusicFest Flavours series.
