Musicfest Vancouver presents Helge Lien Trio August 11, 2011

MusicFest Vancouver is pleased to announce the return of the Helge Lien Trio from Norway. A resounding success when last in Vancouver, this world famous trio will captivate our audience with its own take on jazz standards as well as original compositions. Pianist Helge Lien has developed an unmistakable style of trio playing with band colleagues Frode Berg (bass) and Per Oddvar Johansen (drums). Reminiscent of Sweden's famous E.S.T. trio, this is Scandinavian jazz at its best! Part of MusicFest Vancouver's Jazz at the Rothstein series presented by Marsh Mercer.
