A hidden landscape treasure located in unincorporated Jefferson County houses an abandoned silica mine which is becoming the “place to go” in Jefferson County. Three hundred + acres of underground cave with a comfortable temperature of 62 degrees year round will be hosting a variety of venues and sports activities over the course of the next year, despite being in the early stages of construction.
Saturday, August 16th CCU will host an outdoor concert, Music Under the Moon, featuring local talent of all music genres.
The Sounds of Joy will start off the event with a three piece, all male
a capella group. Jazz trio, The Mad Bradson will follow and blend into acoustic duo, Stimulus Package.
Elvis may have left the building but he is alive and well at the cave! He will showcase some of his best work prior to the classic rock band, Moments Notice. Tok has been a favorite around these parts for years as well as the guys in the rock/blues band Tongue & Groove.
All scheduled entertainment will delight young and old as the evening progresses from mellow, easy listening to rock & roll. Gates open at 4pm. Music starts at 5.
