Music Publishing in Plain English (legal workshop)
Geared toward musicians, songwriters, and other music industry aspirants, covering basic terms and concepts, such as copyright protections & registration, songwriting collaborations, publishing contracts, licensing agreements, and a breakdown of various music publishing income streams and concepts (including mechanical royalties, ASCAP/BMI/SESAC, synchronization deals, digital opportunities and more). A ‘must attend’ workshop for anyone interested in how money is made from the commercial exploitation of music.
