The Music Population Project is an effort to bring chamber music back to the people, embrace a sustainable model for performing, inspire audiences and encourage cross-genre exploration between musicians and artists. The goal is to expand nationally within the US and eventually internationally. thempp.com will serve as a virtual hub where musicians and composers can connect, participate in community forums, share their work through downloadable music and access resources for presenting concerts in their own cities or even countries. The MPP germinated in Portland, Oregon under the direction of Brede R?rstad, working closely with the Music Population Orchestra, a chamber music ensemble created to fulfill the mission of The MPP.
