Milwaukee Metropolitan Community Concert Band presents:
"Music for the Young & Young at Heart"
A concert celebrating the organization's youthful 15th anniversary. With special guest appearances by conductors and founding directors Dr. Patricia Backhaus and Mr. Richard Mannisto. Under the musical direction of Ms. Karen Mary Lippert the program will include pieces that reflect the life of a child - exuberance, playfulness and rest - such as Festive Overture (Shostakovich), The Teddy Bear's Picnic (Bratton), Creatures of Dreams (Barber), Joy Revisited (Tichelli), Easter Monday on the White House Lawn (Sousa), and Sleep (Whitacre). This free concert will honor the festive occasion with a "Cookies & Milk" Intermission.
