This is the first in a series of events in support of music education presented by the La Jolla Symphony & Chorus (LJS&C). The benefit for LJS&C educational and outreach programs combines live art created by Studio 2nd Street artists Vanessa Lemen and Faith Lindley, and performances by LJS&C musicians Elena Yarritu (flute), Daniel Pate (marimba), and the LJS&C vocal ensemble Euphony with Chris Lehman (soprano), Rebecca Ramirez (alto), Max Chodos (tenor), and Kenneth Bell (bass). Repertoire will be from the Renaissance through modern day, with a favorite Tango by Astor Piazzolla for flute and marimba. The afternoon begins with a reception of light refreshments and wine and concludes with a drawing for the completed artwork.
