Details:
The Museum of Army Flying is next to the largest grass airfield in Europe. The day's events will centre on an Auster Fly In. Austers are light reconnaissance aircraft which were operated by Royal Artillery pilots in WWII, in all operational theatres, including Burma, Malaya and North West Europe. They remained in service for over 30 years and eventually operated worldwide. We anticipate 40+ aircraft visiting the airfield, and there will be a flying programme. We also are arranging other activities in the Museum. Normal admission charges apply. Excellent facilities for all ages, including simulators. Cafe will be open all day.
