Museum Day at Poplar Forest September 26, 2008

Thomas Jefferson's Poplar Forest will participate in "Museum Day," a day when museums and cultural institutions nationwide open their doors free of charge to SMITHSONIAN magazine readers and Smithsonian.com visitors. Receive two free admission tickets to Poplar Forest with the Museum Day Admission Card, available in the September issue of SMITHSONIAN magazine or downloaded at www.smithsonianmag.com/museumday.

From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. visitors can interact with historic interpreters in Jefferson's "modern" kitchen and learn more about life in the early 19th century.
