Join Us … “Muse on Earth” Art Party at Creative Pier –Tuesday, April 22 at 6 PM
Snacks, drinks, great music and “good cheer”
Why: Earth Day is April 22, 2008. But the way to “get to the root” and find the true meaning of this special holiday is by capturing its spirit and making it a permanent part of your life. With a take-home art project (or two) from an evening at Creative Pier (www.creativepier.com), you’ll be both reminded AND inspired to create more”earthly good deeds and memories” throughout the year.
What: Bring your friends and make new ones as you take part in Creative Pier’s many art activities in honor of Mother Earth, such as:
· Build and paint your very own bird house for a lucky feathered friend
· Let loose in the group Action Painting of the Living Canvas
· Take a walk in the Meditation Labyrinth
· Discover what may grow in the Magic Garden
· … and more
Light refreshments (beer, wine and soda), snacks (nuts, chips and dip) and great music served up throughout the evening.
When: Tuesday, April 22, 2008, 6:00 – 9:00 PM
Where: Creative Pier, a tranquil, 1,600 square foot studio space with 14-foot ceilings and “inspirational” décor at 833 Broadway at 13th Street, 3rd Floor, New York, NY – elevator building.
Cost: $15.
Who: Founded in 2007 by Routa Segal, Creative Pier (www.creativepier.com) and its team of creative arts therapists offer workshops in artistic expression – theater, music and dance – to assist individuals in the “self-discovery” of their thoughts and feelings in order to improve physical, mental and emotional well-being. In addition to hosting weekly events, Creative Pier also has “resident artists” who both exhibit and sell their work at the Creative Pier Art Gallery.
