Formed in 1994, Muse's escalation from being the biggest band in Teignmouth in 1997 to one of the biggest bands in Europe by 2004 had been a rocket ride. Their headline set at Glastonbury 2004 saw Muse storm troop onto the high table of classic Glastonbury performances and prove themselves a formidable force in British rock. It was only with that triumph fresh in their throats, they claim, that they realised they'd 'made it'. Stateside, the band will perform in support of their recent effort, 'Black Holes and Revelations.' Spoon's releases have garnered massive press and college-radio acclaim. The Austin, TX, trio is led by Britt Daniel. The Silversun Pickups feature guitarist-singer Brian Aubert, bass player Nikki Monninger, drummer Christopher Guanlao and keyboardist Joe Lester. A former collaborator of Peaches, and current member of Broken Social Scene, Canada's Leslie Feist has a seductive voice, sharp songwriting and critical raves to boot. Her most recent effort is 'The Reminder.' Hailing from Albuquerque, N.M., The Shins play some delightfully catchy, totally innocuous guitar pop. Borrowing from '60s pop and injecting it with plenty of indie-rock melancholy and neo-psychedelic charm, the result is a sound that makes many other retro-friendly guitar-pop acts sound like cover bands. "The new monster in alternative" -- that is how Jimmy Eat World is being touted by record execs and audiences throughout the West, as this Phoenix, Arizona, based band of nineteen year olds pounds through their "90 gigs in 90 days Chihuahua Tour" to promote their new Capitol Records release, !Static Prevails'.
