Murder Most Fowl
Avenue Theater, now celebrating our 25th anniversary brings back Murder Most Fowl, the long-running, comedy-mystery where the audience solves the crime.
Written in 1988 by John Ashton and Robert Wells, Murder Most Fowl was originally scheduled to run for several weeks. Instead, it ran continuously for several years. In fact, then-Mayor of Denver, Federico Pena declared September 21, 1989 to be MURDER MOST FOWL DAY.
It’s a show that gets updated with the times. If it’s in the news, it’s skewered in Murder Most Fowl.
The setting is the greenroom of a prominent stage theater. The leading man in the current show is mysteriously murdered. Was it the frustrated understudy, the jealous stage manager, the theater owner (who’s also a lawyer) or the overly dramatic and washed up actress?
It’s up to you, the audience to decide. Their fates are in your hands.
Murder Most Fowl plays Fridays and Saturdays now through October 27, 2012.
Showtime is 7:30 p.m.
Cost is $25 with a $3 discount for seniors, students, groups and those who donate a bra for freethegirls.com
