MUMFest October 12, 2007

MUMFest is a weekend of family fun, celebrating thousands of mums ablaze in their autumn colors at Tryon Palace. The celebration features children's games, a boat show, the Hatteras boat-building competition, tours of a Coast Guard cutter, evening tours of the Attmore-Oliver house, believed by some to be haunted, Keith King's Bike Stunt Show, the Chevy Racing Tour II displaying NASCAR Nextel Cup cars, roving magicians, the Carolina Puppet Theatre, fire and police demonstrations, including K-9 demonstrations, wonderful food and much more. This is the 27th annual MUMFest, and about 8,000 people are expected to attend. It has been named as one of the top festivals in North Carolina and in the Southeast.
