You spend a lot of time in self-imposed confinement: your car, your house, the shopping mall, your head. Escape those four walls – and your thoughts - for a few hours of fun in the sun. Dust off an old pastime and play horseshoes. All you need are a few friends, some cold American lager, a couple of stakes, and some horseshoes.

The rules are pretty simple. Set your stakes about 40 feet apart... Enjoy some lager. Form your teams... More lager. Each team takes turns pitching a horseshoe, earning points for getting it as close as possible to the stake. Get a ringer and you earn 3 points. You guessed it... lager time! The team that reaches 40 points first wins. Refill beer and regroup.

It’s fun. It’s competitive. You can play anywhere – in the yard, at the park, at the beach, or anywhere you can legally drink your brew.
