Mu Phi Epsilon Sunday Concert: Laurie Spohn, soprano and Angela Favazza, piano April 26, 2009

Soprano Laurie Spohn has been praised for her "expressive musicianship" and "beautiful tone." She has performed with companies including Midwest Lyric Opera, Dorian Opera Theatre, illinois Opera Theatre, Fort Worth Opera, Metroplex Opera and Regal Opera. She has been heard in Handel's Messiah and Rene Clausen's New Creation. Ms. Spohn will sing title roles in Suor Angelica and Gianni Schicci in May 2009 with Metroplex Opera.

Angela Favazza has performed numerous recitals in Texas including at the Fort Worth Contemporary Art Museum and Bass Hall on a special concert honoring Van Cliburn. She has given performances at festivals in Europe and in Brazil. She is currently on the faculty at First United Methodist Church Hurst Fine Arts Academy.
