Close Encounters of the Third Kind: Special Edition (1977/1980) stars Richard Dreyfuss. Director Steven Spielberg reworked his original film, clarifying some scenes and adding footage to take us inside the space ship. Cinematographer Vilmos Zsigmond won an Academy Award for his work.

Great attendance, great weather, and a great time!
While the Fox Foundation could use a new emcee for these events (sadly, he gave away a lot of the movie details right before the screening--which isn't a first--and there were many first-time viewers), they are still a lot of fun. The pre-movie cartoon was Duck Dodgers in the 24th Century, which is actually IN the movie as well. Nice touch!
