Movies in the Park: Local Hero (UK, 1983) July 22, 2009

'Local Hero' is a comedy/drama about oil company representative ssent to a Scottish village to buy up the land so a refinery can be built. However, the task proves more difficult than anticipated when it turns out some key land is owned by a local hermit, who's less amenable to the situation than the other locals. The evening kicks off with live music, followed by the movie once it gets dark.
