Tonight, February 3, Moviehouse presents two classics on two separate screens. It's Casablanca and Punch-Drunk Love with two romantic New York shorts and an afterparty featuring the visual delights of VJ Clay Franklin.
Prep for Valentine's Day with Casablanca, most romantic movie of all time or celebrate the sweet awkward courtship of Adam Sandler and Emily Watson in Paul Thomas Anderson's Punch-Drunk Love. Your choice!
The night opens with two romantic shorts by New York's best independent filmmakers.
In By Modern Measure, filmmaker Matthew Lessner parodies post-modern art romances with a hilarious subtitled comedy.
In Terminally Ambivalent Over You by Aleksey Budovsky, a prisoner works in a gramophone factory and pines for his girlfriend.
To close the evening, its VJ Clay Franklin splicing together found footage, classic scenes and crazy stuff he made himself.
As always there's free popcorn for everyone and free drinks for the winner of the we'll always have Paris trivia contest. All this of just $5.
Moviehouse presents NYC's best short films, a classic feature, and an afterparty with the neighborhood's best VJs and DJs on the first and third Sunday of every month at Galapagos Art Space.
