Tonight Moviehouse presents Sixteen Candles with local shorts Things I Realized In 2002, Amanda and Trisha, One Picture Every Day and I Love My Cat at 8pm. Then stick around after the show for the video delights of Clay Franklin mixed with the DJ rhythms of Keith Oqueli

Hold on to your underwear, stalk the cutest boy in the school, and party with the Donger as we screen John Hughes' breakthrough Sixteen Candles .

But before we travel back to the 80s we're showing four of the freshest short shorts from NYC's own filmmakers.

In Things I Realized In 2002 by Chioke Nassor uses rotoscope animation to convey a series of short realizations.
In Tessa Greenberg's Amanda and Trisha Amanda can only get reception in her mom's closet and gets some sage advice once she finally gets through to Trisha

Waverly Films presents I Love My Cat in which a man and his furry roommate come to difficult realization.

Lastly, it's Olde English's One Picture Every Day, which is exactly as it sounds, one picture taken every day.
