Carey Harrison, Professor of English at Brooklyn College of the City University of New York
Sir Rex Harrison remains an iconic figure of theater and cinema. His lifetime (1908–1990) spanned the course of the twentieth-century. Both as a dashing leading man and as the preeminent high comedian of his time, he set a benchmark for elegance and wit, and his long career was crowned by an Oscar winning performance in My Fair Lady. In this talk, his son shares memories of his father and his mother, Lilli Palmer, and provides revealing anecdotes of growing up in Hollywood and on Broadway.
