The hills have history to share. Discuss the legends and lore of Kings Mountain with docents Ed Lange and Ida Rhodes on this 10-mile, vigorously-paced trek via the Craig Britton, North Ridge, Purisima Creek, and Whittemore Gulch Trails. Your route will take you past old logging sites and grizzly haunts. Enjoy lunch on the coast-side of this Preserve adjacent to a creek. Where to meet: Meet at the main preserve parking lot (Whittemore Gulch entrance) located on Skyline Boulevard next to the now closed Kings Mountain Country Store. The parking lot is 4.5 miles south of Highway 92, or 8.1 miles north of Highway 84.
