Mount Sinai will host the Second Annual Women’s Health Fashion Show and Luncheon on Tuesday, December 11, 12PM to 2PM, at The Waldorf=Astoria. The luncheon will benefit Mount Sinai’s Women’s Health Initiatives, which focus on the promotion of health, safety and quality of life across the entire spectrum of a woman’s life. Chaired by Adrianne Silver, Alison K. Axelrod and Dina Leader, the event will feature a runway presentation of Pamella Roland’s spring 2013 collection.
Expanding on the inaugural luncheon which raised important funds for Women’s Cardiology and Obstetrics and Gynecology, the inclusion of the Department of Medicine at this year’s event broadens the Women’s Health Program at Mount Sinai. Proceeds from the luncheon will exclusively benefit women’s health initiatives, including raising awareness of the importance of primary care for early prevention and detection of medical issues, research on the detection and treatment of reproductive cancers, research on gender differences related to the environment and seminars to educate women on how to monitor their heart health.
