Mounds State Park Hosts a “Free-4-All!”

Earth Day Weekend April 19-20

Anderson, Indiana - SO WHAT EXACTLY IS A FREE-4-ALL? It's a fun "trash-into-treasure" affair featuring an afternoon of freebie shopping with a green recycling twist. Instead of sending your unwanted items to the landfill, see is someone else wants it. The Free-4-All is similar to a swap meet or yard sale, but there is no trading and no selling, as everything is given freely with no strings attached. There is no cost for the Free-4-All; however, the standard gate fee of $5/in-state car ($7/out-of-state car) will be collected at the park entrance on Saturday and Sunday.

Items that can be dropped off for the Free-4-All include just about anything that you can carry or haul in. Clean clothing, school supplies, bikes, toys and baby equipment. Other household items you might wish to “re-home” include books, videos, bedding, pet supplies, holiday decorations, yard items like rakes, shovels, tools, and more. It is suggested (but not required) that all attendees bring at least a bag or box of items to offer. But if you want to bring a truckload that is okay too! All items should be clean and in working order. Call the Interpretive Center at (765) 649-8128 if you have any questionable items.
