Lighthouse, in partnership with the University of Sussex, is hosting a networking event which aims to bring together local, national and
international experts in motion capture technologies. Coinciding with the Motion Capture Methodologies Workshop, organised by the
University of Sussex at Lighthouse on 25 - 26 June, this networking event provides an opportunity for designers, artists, filmmakers and
businesses to meet the people behind the Motion in Place Platform Project (http://www.motioninplace.org), which is pioneering new ways
of capturing motion capture data - quite literally "in the field".
This is also a fantastic opportunity to network with leading academics and professionals, over a glass of wine.

The event will feature short presentations by:
- Kirk Woolford, School of Media, Film and Music, University of Sussex
- Sally Jane Norman, Attenborough Centre for the Creative Arts, University of Sussex

It will be attended by workshop speakers: DK Arvind (University of Edinburgh), Helen Bailey (University of Bedfordshire), Stuart Dunn, (King's College London), Donald Glowinski (University of Genoa), David Green (Newcastle University), Carlos Guedes (Instituto Politécnico do Porto), Iwona Hrynczenko (Gotland University), Ali Kord (Animazoo, Brighton), Matt Oughton (Vicon, Oxford), David Pirro (Institute of Electronic Music and Acoustics, Graz), Gretchen Schiller (Brunel University) and Martin White (University of Sussex),
and several dozen workshop attendees from throughout the UK academic and cultural sectors.

Complimentary refreshments will be served at the beginning of the event, followed by a pay bar.
