Roseville Parks and Recreation is pleased to invite you, your family and friends to the Mosquito Bluegrass Jam on Sunday, August 8 from 4-8 p.m. Presented by Dunn Brothers Coffee (Fairview location), the event is part of the Performances in the Park summer music series at Central Park on Lexington Avenue just south of County Road C. This will be an evening not to miss, whether you are a bluegrass follower or know next to nothing about bluegrass music! The master of ceremony will be Phil Nusbaum, host of KBEM’s Bluegrass Saturday Morning radio show. Phil will guide the audience through an exploration of the musical styles and traditions of four bluegrass bands, including Roseville’s own Bill Cagley, Phil’s bluegrass duo, the Sodbusters, the exciting, youthful sounds of Sawtooth, and the traditional bluegrass quartet, the Blue Drifters. The evening will end with an improvised jam session involving musicians from all the bands.

Along with the excellent musical program, you can also enjoy fun mosquito activities with the Harriet Alexander Nature Center, purchase refreshments provided by the Dunn Brothers Fairview location, and kids ages 4-14 can enter the annual fishing contest.
