Saturday brings a pair of concerts at the Fleisher Art Memorial, a deconsecrated church now serving as a community art school and performance space. (Feldman served as the dean of the New York Studio School from 1969-73.) At 8 pm, the gifted New York-based ensemble Either/Or picks up the theme with Crippled Symmetry (1983, 90 minutes), one of a late series of pieces Feldman wrote for flute, percussion, and piano. Despite its title, Crippled Symmetry is suffused with a spring-like sense of subdued yet palpable anticipation.
