Monya: My Seasons of Music February 28, 2010

Monya shares an evening of some of her favorite songs and tells stories about the time when she first heard them. In the Spring section (early childhood) she sings (and pokes fun at) some of the oldies that she grew up listening to at home. In the Summer of her life, teens through '20s, she celebrates the music of several divas whom she loves -- Aretha Franklin, Patti LaBelle, Gladys Knight and Natalie Cole. With comedy and candor, she wraps up the Fall with gospel, Karen Carpenter and Home from 'The Wiz.'
