Since its 1958 debut featuring the likes of Louis Armstrong, Billie Holiday, Dave Brubeck and Dizzy Gillespie, the name Monterey Jazz Festival has been synonymous with world-class performances. The longest continually running jazz festival in the world, Monterey celebrates its 50th anniversary with a national tour, maintaining its tradition of presenting jazz immortals alongside rising stars, including one of the best musicians of his generation, Grammy-winning trumpeter Terence Blanchard, along with six-time Grammy nominated vocalist Nnenna Freelon, and virtuoso pianist and musical director Benny Green.
