On Thursday, June 21, 2012, MonteCedro®, a new planned Episcopal Communities and Services (ECS) Continuing Care Retirement Community in Altadena, will host a private screening of the award winning documentary “Age of Champions”. This inspirational documentary demonstrates that it is never to late to live a health, active life, and gain a new self-purpose.
During the film, attendees follow a 86-year-old vaulter, 100-year-old tennis player and a team of grandmothers who dominate the basketball court in their journey as they train for the National Senior Olympic Games. The documentary also discusses the mental and physical benefits of continuing to exercise as you age, and reveals challenges that these athletes overcame to participate/compete in their sport.
After the screening attendees will have the opportunity to meet and discuss the film with its producer Keith Ochwat, and meet local former National Senior Game Champions.
Space is limited for this event. To register, please visit www.montecedro.org or call 877-282-1584.
