Monster Drawing Rally December 15, 2012

1708 Gallery’s annual Monster Drawing Rally has returned just in time for the holidays. Part performance, part art-bazaar, part party, Monster Drawing Rally offers Richmonders the rare opportunity to watch their favorite local artists at work.

The event consists of 4 one-hour shifts with up to 16 artists drawing simultaneously per hour. Bring the whole family and watch art come to life. The completed works make for original holiday gifts at only $65 each. Admission is $5 at the door and kids 12 and under are free. All funds raised support 1708 Gallery, a non-profit space that has been providing exhibition opportunities to emerging and established artists and facilitating innovative programs for our community for the last 34 years.
Come hungry and bring cash for coffee and treats by Lamplighter and Magic Hat beer at the bar. Kids can take part in the action by creating art of their own at the chalk wall.
