Monkey Kettle Poetry Kapow! November 16, 2007

They’re at it again… and this time, they need you!

The motley crew of miscreants and vagabonds from MK’s illustrious literary rag “Monkey Kettle” are looking for contenders for their next round of lyrical Armageddon. Whilst this is a performance rather than a mere “reading,” the atmosphere is fun and open-minded, so if you have a witty ditty, a sonnet in your bonnet or just have angst to vent in a rhyming fashion, get in touch on mkpoetryslam@hotmail.co.uk.

Come along and contend in the Slam, participate in the gentler “Open Mike” sessions (a chance to air your words without the stress of a score!), or just take in the talents on show in Milton Keynes’ oldest (and very unique) arts venue.

Doors 7pm for 7:30pm. Tickets: £3 or £2 for performers.

And don’t worry, it’s not all about the poetry - there’ll be soothing acoustic musical sets between bouts of lyrical shouting! There’s also refreshments, and plenty of other fun additions…
