Post WWII, light hearted comedy of manners
The year is 1946 and post war Britain is learning to live again. In Kensington, London, a newspaper headline challenged us to “Know your neighbour”; spend four nights rotating dinner parties with complete strangers: It’ll be fun! A prize will be awarded by the newspaper editor to whoever reports the most entertaining meal. For our guests, the final meal was to be best served cold!
Tag: The rules were simple: You must be strangers. You will eat everything prepared. Just-desserts will be served cold. (*)
