The North Minneapolis Post Tornado Watch is glad to announce Moja, the first of a series of concerts they will be hosting to enable them to expand their relief effort operations on the ground in the North Minneapolis disaster zones. The North Minneapolis Post Tornado Watch has been a first responder and went active within an hour of the May 22nd Tornado touching down in N. Minneapolis. Using a combination of Facebook and word of mouth, the Watch has organized some of the most successful donation drives and cleanup efforts to help all those who had been affected by the disaster.
Moja is a swahili term for One. The concert is all about unity and coming together for the cause.
ACTS: Headlining acts are Legendary Hiphop Artist and Philosopher KRS One, and Slum Village. Supporting acts include North Minneapolis raised Toki Wright, Truth Maze and more local N. Minneapolis artists to be announced. Hosted by 96.3 Now/Shadyville DJ Peter Parker alongside Dj Xpect of the Xile Djs from New York City
