Bike Hugger is bringing the party back to SXSW with 43% more bike culture. The Mobile Social is an intersection of bikes, technology, and culture. We ride, blog, party, and give away product.

This event is for the Urban Ride. Meet at the Susanna Dickinson House in Brush Square Park.

Update: The DJs of the Sun, aka Sycons, are bringing their art, solar energy, and music to the Urban Ride ride and BBQ. Digital, analog, mobile, and powered by solar packs. They’ll mix music while we ride around Austin and party at the BBQ.

If it rains, as it sometimes does in Austin, we'll gather and find the nearest coffee shop or bar. Granted, Austin cyclists don't ride in the rain like we do here in Seattle, but we'll still show. Also, the BBQ after the ride is in a giant tent, protected from the elements.

Sign up here for the ride, gets you into the BBQ, if you don't have a badge. Without a SXSW or being on the ride list, you can't get into the BBQ.

I think I screwed myself....didn't know about the " I'M GOING" buttons at the top of the page....but as you can see in the comments above,I verbally agreed to be at the ride....does that count?.....sure hope so.....if not can I at least be a volunteer?
