Job seekers in Frostproof will now be able to prepare resumes, submit applications, and search for jobs online with the help of trained Polk Works staff in their own communities. The Polk Works Mobile One-Stop Unit will be adding locations in Fort Meade and Frostproof starting in October. The unit is a recreational vehicle equipped to deliver workforce development services throughout Polk County and allows individuals access to Polk Works’ services. Job seekers will find 13 computers with internet access, use of the Microsoft Office suite, a copier and printer, a fax machine, and staff from Polk Works to answer questions and assist customers with job search.
The Mobile One-Stop will be in Frostproof near the Latt Maxcy Memorial Library on Wall Street the third Thursday of the month beginning November 15th.
There is no fee for services and appointments are not necessary; hours are 9am to 3pm.
