In a celebration of the late Mitch Hedberg’s first album release since his death, stand-up comedians across the country will perform acts inspired by a true comedy legend on September 9th. As a part of this nationwide event, Comix brings their best and brightest New York stars to honor the unique Mitch Hedberg.

Performers will range from Mitch’s closest comedy friends to those young up-and-comers who were inspired by him. At the end of the show, all acts will come back on stage and pass the mic, covering their favorite Hedberg material. Copies of the new CD will be available after the show.

The comedians remembering Mitch include:
Rob Cantrell
Russ Meneve
Todd Barry
And more!

About the album: “Do You Believe in Gosh” is the long-awaited third album from comedy icon, Mitch Hedberg, set for release on COMEDY CENTRAL RECORDS on Tuesday, September 9. Recorded two months prior to his death, the album contains nearly 40 minutes of previously unreleased stand-up material. The CD captures most of the material Hedberg was working on for what would have been his next full-length album in a free-form show with a large amount of audience interaction. The album pulses with Hedberg’s inimitable wit and spirit and is a document of a comedy master.

IT was awful. I attended in NY at comixny.

3 of the comics were unbearable, one of them talking about flying vagina's. Only 2 of the comics even mentioned mitch, the rest ignored him completely. The photos of mitch that were displayed previous to the show were more engaging than anything the comedians did during the entire show.
