Missoula Children's Theater : Hansel & Gretel July 21, 2012

This original musical adaptation of the Brothers Grimm's story puts a new spin on the age-old tale. Hank and Gretchen's friends have gone off to summer camp and left them behind, while their mom seems to have time for nothing but work. While waiting for dinner, Hank and Gretchen fall asleep and dream their way to times gone by. When they wake, their clothes are strange - and so are their names. Lost in the deep dark woods, Hansel and Gretel search for the path that will lead them to better times at home. As evening approaches and the moon rises above the trees, crafty cooks and gingerbread men lead the pair to a candy cottage and the Wildwood Witch. Is she bad? Is she good? Or is she just misunderstood? It's up to our heroes to unravel the secret.
