Quality of Life tells the authentic and gripping story of two young graffiti writers who struggle to maintain their friendship and their lives after getting busted by the cops. Co-written by and co-starring former San Francisco graffiti writer Brian Burnam, the film sheds light on the hidden graffiti subculture and the people behind the writing on the walls. Most of the movie was shot within a few blocks of the Roxie Cinema, with numerous locations (including the powerful final scene) just a few steps away. The story itself is set in the surrounding Mission District, within the area's renowned graffiti subculture. This is the first time the film is playing on its home turf since it opened in theaters.
