Mission Bazaar Packages Creativity For The Holidays
Brings Creative Marketplace to The Armory Community Center
After launching in May '08 at the historic Mission Armory, Mission Bazaar will get its second installment. The venue, recently renamed from The Amory to The Armory Community Center (TACC), is a 40,000 square foot hall that provides the perfect setting for this community happening.
Mission Bazaar is a magical creative marketplace that showcases some of the San Francisco Bay Area's most vibrant artistic talent. With over 100 local artisans exhibiting their uniquely designed creative products (fashion, accessories, jewelry, leather and more) and over 15 hours of live performances by singers, musicians, circus and dance acts, DJs and much more, Mission Bazaar will be an extraordinary happening for all ages.
Brad Nye and Justin Katz, producers of the Edwardian Ball and Spectra Ball, wanted to create at event that truly represented the Bay Area's artistic soul. "Mission Bazaar is a totally unique approach to connecting artists and the public that celebrates the artistic richness of the Bay Area," says Justin Katz. With this event, the San Francisco's historic Mission District will become the Bay Area's preeminent melting pot of - and destination for - multicultural arts and artists.
Mission Bazaar promises to help support the creative economy of San Francisco and the Mission communities, while bringing together thousands of attendees with the wonderful artisans and performers showcased.
